The official website for the anime adaptation project based on Naoshi Arakawa (Your Lie in April)’s women’s football-themed manga series Sayonara Watashi no Cramer / Farewell, My Dear Cramer announced today that the release of the forthcoming feature film Sayonara Watashi no Cramer First Touch / Farewell, My Dear Cramer First Touch is postponed to the early summer of 2021 due to various circumstances. The film was originally set to be released in Japan on April 1, 2021.
The website writes: “We would like to inform you that the release of ‘Farewell, My Dear Cramer First Touch,’ which was set for April 1, 2021, has been postponed due to various circumstances. We sincerely apologize to those who have been waiting for the release. As for the new release date after the postponement, we are aiming for early summer. The detailed schedule will be announced on the official website as soon as it is decided.”
The film is based on Sayonara Football / Farewell Football, the prequel manga to Farewell, My Dear Cramer, focusing on the protagonist Nozomi Onda’s junior high school days. Meanwhile, the TV anime adaptation (titled Good-bye, Cramer in English on the Japanese official website) of Farewell, My Dear Cramer is set to premiere in Japan on April 4, 2021. Its story is about Nozomi’s high school days.
