Check Out TV Anime So I’m a Spider, So What? Storyboard Sketch Version OP Movie

The official Japanese website for the winter 2021 TV anime So I’m a Spider, So What? has posted a special version OP movie using only its hand-drawn storyboard sketches. It is rare for this type of production material to be made available to the public.

The storyboard for the OP movie was drawn by the anime’s director Shin Itagaki (Berserk 2016-2017 TV anime) himself. According to his comment on Web Anime Style, another clip using the ED movie’s storyboard sketches will be also posted next week.

The theme song featured in the OP movie is singer-songwriter Riko Azuna‘s fifth single song “keep weaving your spider way.” She wrote on Twitter, “Wow!!!! Precious footage! I’m so happy to see the storyboard like this…! It’s too cool, I’m so glad.”

You can compare the storyboard sketch version to the completed clip below.
