All-Women Charity Speedrunning Event, Fleet Fatales, Kicks Off Today

Fleet Fatales

We may be between Games Done Quick charity speedrunning marathons, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any amazingly speedy streams to enjoy. In fact, today marks the kickoff of an offshoot of GDQ—namely the Frame Fatales community—the all-women speedrunning event known as Fleet Fatales.

Fleet Fatales will stream from November 15 to November 21—going live with a bunch of different games from 1:00pm PT to 9:00pm PT each day—on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel. Like GDQ, this marathon aims to raise funds for a charitable cause. 100 percent of the proceeds during this one will go toward Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that supports the work of educators in developing countries and works to break down the barriers that keep over 130 million girls around the world from attending school.

The schedule is now live, and includes everything from an Ocarina of Time race to Dark Souls, Hades, an all red berries run of Celeste, and many more. The fun begins at 1:00pm PT today with a Risky Mode run of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.
